If you are not quite sure what the Google+ Project is all about, then get ready for the social sharing experience that may be about to kill off Facebook. The latest online social networking platform consists of 4 main elements: Photo’s, Circles, Sparks and Hangout’s. The Google+ project is designed to bring together the best of Picasa, Facebook, Twitter and Google’s famous search engine.

Photo’s: Upload in real-time from your mobile device, PC or tablet.

Circles: Share your thoughts, things you find interesting or products you like.

Hangouts: Live video chat, instant messaging, watching movies together. Just hanging out online.

Let friends know you’re free for a video hangout, any time, anywhere. Then catch up, watch YouTube, or… just hangout.

Sparks: Live feed of things you like, sourced from Google +1′s, tags and your sharing history.

Whilst Facebook and Twitter are great, they both suffer major limitations in that you cannot search the web on the two most popular social networking websites. The current beauty of Facebook is that you can message, add photo’s, post updates and share real-time information. But what if this was integrated to search?

Google dominates the UK search market, and this is their USP when it comes to entering the social networking market.

By slowly introducing your social community into the search facility, especially through the Chrome browser (gaining browser market share rapidly), the Google+ product aims to be the leading global social network.
